Mr. Ghose joined The Fuji Bank in 1988 from HSBC. Mr Ghose was the founder of Mizuho’s Leveraged Finance business in 1988.  Mr. Ghose had overall responsibility for the LBO/MBO franchise, leveraged syndications, mezzanine finance and equity fund business in Europe, U.S. and Asia (excluding Japan). Under his supervision, the bank has been involved in financing over 400 buy-out transactions, of which it has lead-managed or joint-managed over 180 transactions and underwritten in excess of US$126 billion of debt with portfolio responsibility in excess of US$20 billion.
Mr. Ghose is the founder of the third-party fund management business and is CEO of Mizuho Investment Management which manages circa US$6 billion of assets. A veteran of the LBO and M&A markets, Mr. Ghose has over 23 years of relevant experience globally. He holds a B.A. (Honours) degree in Business Administration and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers. Mr Ghose is approved to perform the FSA controlled functions 3 & 30. Mr Ghose is an Executive Officer of Mizuho Corporate Bank, being the first non Japanese to achieve this status in the bank’s history.
