Simon Heywood
Head of Portfolio, International Leveraged Finance Group of Mizuho Corporate Bank, Ltd. ("MHCB")
Simon is currently Head of Portfolio within Mizuho Corporate Bank, Ltd's International Leveraged Finance Group and has responsibility for the leveraged portfolio, which includes over 200 transactions, and non-Mandated Lead Arranger deals. He acted as Chief Investment Officer of MIMUK from June 2007 until June 2008 and is now an Advisory Committee member for the funds. He has 12 years of experience in the European LBO market. Simon joined The Industrial Bank of Japan (IBJ) in 1996, where he had a key role in developing its acquisition finance capabilities, and before that worked at NatWest for 9 years. He graduated with a B.A. (Honours) degree from Oxford and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers. Simon is registered as a CF30, Investment Management, with the FSA. He also holds the Level 3 in Investment Management from the UK Society of Investment Professionals.
